Hotels in Cayman Islands

I loved this hotel. The staff was attentive and friendly. No attitude whatsoever. The grounds were beautiful. I so appreciated being upgraded. That means a lot to me and it's something that I will remember always. Unpretentious understated elegance and service.

-generally very pleasant stay but not accomodating when requested to change room locations away from the childrens pool area -quiet in mornings and later evenings due to few teenagers present -restaurant convenient but not very romantic ambiance-went next door for dinners to Morrit's David's Restaurant on the patio deck -convenient having small shopping/grocery vcentre across street -too bad the recreational supplies were all for hire(Snorkels,masks, kayaks,hobie cats etc.-was nice to see bicycles and tennis equipment supplied free)

Well placed, nice beach, clear water, attentive staff. Only negative was promoted theme dinner night seafood with Alaskan Crab and bbq meats and chicken. When we booked, I informed staff member that my wife did not eat seafood and was assured that there would be a bbq and she could have meat and chicken bbqed to her likening. There was no bbq, beef had previously been cooked and was sliced for you when requested. the only chicken was a jerk(spicy) chicken and when I enquired about the Alaskan crab I was told they do not have them, with no other explanation.

The Westin hotel is older and dated but clean and acceptable. The service was just ok, nothing fantastic and not terrible. We did have an issue at check in which was due to Hotels.ca not passing over our reservation correctly to the hotel. The hotel was at capacity and luckily I had the confirmation printed out. The on duty manager was excellent with handling the issue and got us a room relatively quickly under the same package (price) booked and confirmed. They did have the charge incorrect at check in but again were fast and efficient with correcting the issue. The pool and beach area at this hotel are very nice!!

Nice clean and comfortable, detailed condo, well stocked kitchen, small but efficienti one bedroom, all space was really maximized to the guests benefit, large lanai though . Generally, nice staff, however, we did seem to annoy one person with our early check in ( though we got permission ahead of time from a different person) and again with our snorkeling questions. It was subtle but we got the "hint" to stop asking questions, she was knowlegable, but I got the feeling she was overwhelmed. Understandably I guess since they are primarily a dive resort. I would definately stay here again if we were diving, however if I were going again to snorkel or skin dive I would stay on seven mile beach. Again, the irritation we caused got a subtle negative response and the place was really nice and immaculate, that is the difference between four and five star rating. Just a little less than perfect.

We chose this hotel from the website as a convenient well priced place for a one night stop over on our way to Little Cayman. It was such an excellent choice - a warm friendly welcome, good food, lovely room overlooking the ocean. Altogether a very pleasant stay. Would definately come back again.
