Beautiful hotel with a professional staff with above average English skills. In the heart of Sofia, had little trouble finding the major sites. Tipping well endears you to the staff, making your stay even better. The in-house restaurant was very good, again with professional staff. Nothing to say at all, but seemed slightly haunted in my room!”
Stayed at Hilton Sofia after doing a bit of research on other options. This is definitely one of the more newer/renovated hotels in Sofia. The location puts it slightly off the centre but still can be reached by foot or by using the hotel bike for free. The rooms spacious but well furnished but certainly not luxurious. The wardrobes are tiny so might be a problem for a couple/family living in a room. The bathrooms are clean but again very basic. The hotel staff are very friendly and genuinely warm, however the prices are quite high both for the room/food/drinks. You don't even get a complimentary bottle of water. There were two weddings in the time I stayed here so expect the hotel to be noisy and crowded during these time. There is only one bar and restaurant so if you intend to dine/wine in the hotel premises you might get bored quickly.”
This is a very comfortable hotel with a good gym and well designed, comfortable rooms. Service was good as well - the staff speak good english and were very helpful. It's well placed for good restaurants and for the local sites (such as they are!) One of our party used the massage service and said it was really excellent.”
Hotel mOdus was a surprise, a chic and utilitarian hotel in a great location in Varna. Excellent for all purposes, the rooms are some of the best designed for people that are used to hotel rooms that are more into functionality. Staff is wonderful! Aside from some Wifi issues, this was a near perfect stay! Highly recommended!”
During my stay in Bulgaria, I've found it quite strange how there is such a little gap between 5 star and 3 star hotels. Nevertheless, my stay at this particular hotel was great. Overall the staff were friendly, although English was non-existent. The location was really close to the beach, the beach the locals recommended. The room itself was clean, and really nice for 3 stars. I'll never really agree with Bulgarian beds though, I just can't get use to them! Recommend it if you are looking for a hotel close to the beach, if you need to go to the centre just take a cab - they are so cheap.”
Very nice place to stay. So clean and comftable . Very recommended !”
a good resort, more opportunities to spend time, very good swimming pool (even if was not warmed), friendly staff and good food.”
Great place. Extremely good service. This is a second time for my family to stay at Sol Nessebar Mare and we enjoyed it a lot.”
It was a problem that the room maides didn't understand english. I had to talk to the reseption at the same time as the roommades tried to understand what I needed help with. I also had to contact the reception twice for the same problem. I miss the follow up in this case. I also had problems with the aircondition and and the maintenance person almost didn't understand english either.”
Right in the old city. Next to Roman Amphitheater and many other sights. The only problem is finding the hotel among the twisty roads.”
Everything was great except the fact that room was not warm enough, and this is not convenient during winter. Luckily we find extra blanket at the closet. Good location, comfortable bad, bathroom was not that good, but we survived. At least, for money we paid, the hotel was perfect.”
The best value for money close to the center of Plovdiv”
