Were pleased to see that the family room had a microwave and toaster but disppointed that only one of the louvres had a flyscreen and the light was so weak we needed a torch to read by. Pool is a good length and position is a good 10 minute walk from the town but noisy as it is on the main road. If you want to walk at night take a torch for some of the unpaved path. Have to pay for Wifi but buffet breakfast very good and beds comfortable.”
Your hotel is and oasis of relaxtation it is a place that you want to spend many days just let your mind floting in that beutiful paradise We ars Canadien that been in New caledonia we have travel the world and your hotel is amoung our best choise”
We stayed in the bungalows overlooking the lagoon which were truly amazing. Not only is the location beautiful and the rooms immaculate but the service was fantastic from manager to reception to waiting staff to security. The resort is a 5 min drive from town. The reception staff will wave down a bus into town for you which is so cheap and a great way to meet the friendly locals - very highly recommended!”

Island Magic is a bit out from town, but extremely close to the Cascades, Secret Garden, Tanna Coffee, the Beach Bar where they have Fire Dancing on Friday nights and Hideaway Island. Zorbing is across the road, plus there is another Garden just down the road. The snorkelling is fantastic straight out the front. We all had a ball jumping in off the wharf. Jane and David who manage the Bungalows are fantastic (probably would be better called Bungalows than a Resort). Took us in the back of their truck up to Cascades one day and down to the Beach Bar Friday Night for the Fire Dance. We really appreciated the space after spending 5 nights at Le Lagon, which was also really nice, but Island Magic was much more personal. Vanuatu was a perfect family holiday (kids 14 and 10) a bit like stepping back in time.”
Village de Santo is a beautifully designed hotel just a short bus ride away from the town centre. The first thing you notice are the lovely large rooms split over two levels - there is more room here than you could possibly need! The staff are friendly and helpful and the owners Bev and Nebille are alwaysd on hand to help you with anything you might need during your stay. The breakfasts are plentiful with muesli, fresh fruit and bread and cakes cooked fresh each morning! Yum! The hotel also boasts a great restaurant which is good value and serves some of the best food in town. In summary, a great value hotel with helpful staff and good service!”
Espiritu Santo is basically a third world country with small villages that still live in thatched huts and open air walls. That said, these are self professed "happiest people in the world". Turtle Bay Lodge is on the ocean. Our room was 50 feet from the beach. There is not a swimming beach at the property, but there is snorkeling. When tide is out, you can walk to the island in the bay. My son and I were here to see where my Sea Bee father was stationed for 3 years during WW11 and I was fascinated by the military history of the island. We kayaked across the ocean bay up a river to a "blue hole" from the resort. The food was excellent and the service is by villagers who work at the resort. Rooms are not 5 star, but considering where you are, more than adequate. Donna (manager) and Kyle (assistant) work tirelessly to set you up with transportation and tours to what you want to see. High recommendation from me.”
