Overall this was a very good option for a London stay. The apartments are in a great location and have all the facilities that you would expect of an apartment. The only aspect that our party wasn't impressed with was the breakfast, definitely over priced for what was available.”
It's been 10 years since we last were in London ... We found the rembrant well placed near tube, museums ,Harrods, even the tour bus at our door .. We will diffently b usin the rembrant for our next stay ...”
I had seen some comments about the building works going on on previous reviews - for me, they did not cause any problems. The entrance to the hotel was very clearly signed, and my room was well away from any noise and works. The staff on reception were very welcoming and professional. I had dinner in the top floor restaurant - fantastic food, great service, wonderful view. You also have to walk past a Marks and Spencers to get from the underground to the hotel - not a bad thing at all!”
This was a wonderful old Edwardian house with lots if character. Jane the lady that owned and ran the guest house was loverly. Breakfasts were beautiful. Great location bus at the front door for drop off back from Edinburgh and the one onto town just up the street not far. Would stay again. Vicki & Macker - Australia”
Location: less than a five-minute walk from Princess Street, Carlton Hill, St. James shopping centre and Waverly train station. 5 - 10 minutes walk to express bus for Airport. In short, excellent location! Room: stayed in a superior double with a nice view of New Town and the harbor/bay. Ikea-style design/furniture with a good bed and large-screen tv, large and pleasant bathroom. Service: excellent service, very polite and helpful staff, room service is good but would suggest heading for one of the nearby restaurants instead, literally hundreds of restaurants within a 10-minute walk radius. Conclusion: Can't recommend this hotel enough, I loved my stay!”
We have just come back from a fantastic stay in Edinburgh. We went to celebrate our mother's 70th birthday (5 daughters and Mum). On arrival we were offered champagne and reception made a great fuss of mum which we were all delighted with. All I can say is Thank You to the hotel staff who were fantastic throughout our stay. The location is brilliant for shopping and sight seeing and yet was very quiet at night. We ate one nigh in the restaurant which was lovely and agin great service.”
I would stay in the britannia again because of the staff they were very friendly and went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable,Also i would like to say a special thaks to the porter he looked after us very well and you will go a long way to find a person like him who would do anything to be of help wheather it's letting you know where the best places to go for a drink ,meal or a show,Iwould recomend this hotel because of the great time i had in manchester due to the staff's help.”
This hotel is located 2 minutes walk from the main train station Piccadilly. It's about 5minutes walk from Canal Street which has bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is very nice, rooms are spacious, clean and have large windows with views of Manchester. I would definately recommend this hotel for a trip to Manchester.”
Location: 3 minutes walk from Piccadilly Train Station and 6/7 minutes walk to the centre of Manchester. Service: Very Good and Friendly. I had emailed in advance requesting some extra information and received a very quick and detailed response. Room: Very nice sized apartment, full kitchen with utensils, dishwasher, full sized fridge with a small carton of REAL milk provided. However, though the rooms were spacious they were a bit dated. Bathroom had some black marks around the bath area. Dining: Layout of dining room was cool. Black table clothes and cool chairs. Breakfast was nice, but the selection of foods was a little limited. Stay again? Yes, no problem. Overall very happy.”
If you're willing and able to go a few miles south-east of Glasgow you have the opportunity to stay in a truly excellent hotel for a fraction of city prices. The manager is affable and helpful, guests are offered a free welcoming glass of sherry, the food is excellent, and the staff are eager to please. This was the best place I found during a 2-week tour of the UK.”
I went on a long weekend to see both Glasgow and Edinburgh, it is a 35 min drive to Edinburgh and 15 min to Glasgow. Hotel was nice, room was a tad basic for a four star but this was outweighed by excellent facilities downstairs and the excellent staff!”
Very happy with the apartments. Clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk from central station and the main shopping areas and not far from Parkhead. Would recommend it to anyone and will certainly be staying there again in the future.”
