Nice hotel. Very good service from the staff. The hotel could have had better maintanance (doors, drawers, lights where not in good shape), but overall impression was good. Large rooms and perfect location.”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Double Tree Victoria. Having flown into Gatwick and gotten the Gatwick Express into Victoria rather late in the evening it was wonderful to just cross the road and find our hotel and we were plesantly surprised when the receptionist offered us an up grade!! The room was spacious, clean and so quiet. (our room was to the back of the hotel). We ate at the restaurant and can certainly recommend their food. The portions were a little bit on the small side but can't complain as dinner was delicious.”
It's been 10 years since we last were in London ... We found the rembrant well placed near tube, museums ,Harrods, even the tour bus at our door .. We will diffently b usin the rembrant for our next stay ...”
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location just below Carlton Hill. Close enough to Princes St and Waverly Bridge for buses but much quieter. No noise in the room which was very clean and comfortable and with a big TV on the wall opposite the bed. Even had an iron and ironing board. Staff all very helpfull and pleasant. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food but the rest was great!”
Absolutely beautiful, genuine hotel with a fantastic location! Everything is within walking distance - airport buses, must-sees, shops. And it's always nice to be met by a man in kilt upon arrival =) The one minus was the temperature of the room - I was there in early February and it was freezing, the climate unit didn't help - but the blanket did.”
This hotel is very central to everything in the wonderful city of Edinburgh. They are so polite & helpful at the reception desk. We asked to be moved from room 237 as the aircon vents were noisy during the night and they couldn't be more helpful. So we would recommend this hotel for your next stay in Edinburgh and we will be back.”
Have stayed here many times. This time I stayed 5 days. Very convenient for Terminal 3 and Manchester. Always get a warm welcome from the reception staff, who are always ready to help with anything. Even the shuttle bus drivers are friendly. The rooms are always spotless and quiet. Really nothing more to say -- excellent all the way round and I hope to be staying here again in August.”
The stunning entrance reminds you of Roman building and once inside, the ornate tiled pillars and walls hark back to the days when money spent on detail was no option. This building could never be re created. Lovely staff and an easy non snobby atmosphere. Perfectly place for city centre and across the rd to the train station for Old TRafford football ground. High ceiling rooms, slightly tired decor but clean and a pleaseure to stay in.”
Great hotel, the only fault I could find was a bit of chaos at breakfast time with the queuing system for food being more like a school canteen rather than an upmarket hotel. Cloud 23 bar was a nice experience too.”
Very happy with the apartments. Clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk from central station and the main shopping areas and not far from Parkhead. Would recommend it to anyone and will certainly be staying there again in the future.”
Spent a weekend at this Best Western Hotel. Location was good, near to many amienities and the center of town. Nicely finished and decorated well. Room was comfortable, however it was very small with little floor space due to the oversized bed (for the size of the room). Bathroom was clean and spacious. Hallway smelt like a bin the entire stay. We found it slightly inconvienient to have to wait until 2pm for check in. These were only minor complaints and overall we had quite a pleasant stay at this hotel. Would recommend for short term stay.”
Lovely helpful staff. Brilliant location. Room basic but perfect for me as I have friends in Glasgow so was just using it as a base for meeting them. Area immediately around hotel not great but then very close to city centre+transports.”
