One half expected Poirot to appear. It is a beautiful hotel with wonderful features such as the lift. The ensuties in the bedrooms could do with a fair bit of work and the wine was hardly cheap but the atmosphere and service more than made up for it.”
Was lead to believe when I paid in advance for room that everything was paid but I had to pay room tax when leaving. Also 1 hour free wifi in a business hotel is not acceptable. Renovations going on at moment.”
Very friendly staff, easy check in and out. Family room very nice, double bed and double sofa bed which folded out into single beds, all very clean. Wi-fi hotspots widely available and free access to computers in reception. Hotel situated off Grand Place, very close to restaurants and shops, close to train and metro lines. City tax has to be paid at the hotel, €14:30 for 2 nights, (this is not included in your booking). Would stay again.”
Every thing is perfect. But no porters! Had to carry the luggage up & down a flight of stairs! Not acceptable for a luxury 5 star hotel. No concierge, reception helped with requests, felt like a Bed & Breakfast! Rooms & location are amazing, but there other hotels.”
In all fairness my wife and I have had numerous stays at the Leonardo Hotel over the years, the good thing about this hotel, the standards never drop, always made very welcome on your arival, the rooms spotless, and a very hearty breakfast in the morning, Compared to other hotels in Brugge the leonardo is excellent value for money and you get free parking...... Just one point to make we had our visit on valentineday this February 2013 I just wish the hotels could take advantage of all special days, (ie) easter, mothers day ,obviously Valentines day with a small offering ,glass of wine on arrival, chocolate in the room as a gesture to all guests for staying with them on these special occassions. Only an Idea.”
This is a great, affordable hotel for travelers with children. My wife and I have two children, ages 6 and 8. The hotel caters to families well, with a small play area, free breakfast buffet for children, an (unheated) outdoor pool, and rooms with a pull-out couch for the kids. The location is ideal, with a grocery store across the street and within a 10-minute walk of all Brugge's sites. Koningin Astridpark is a 10-minute walk, and has an excellent playground for children under 12.”
Wonderful and warm staff, wonderfull room, there's also a sauna room, close to a nice shopping street and the city center, close to bus number 1 to the trainstatin that leads to Brussels airport in 11 minutes, (20 minutes from the airoport) wonderfull surrounding, with a nice promenade by the river also good for strollers.”
Totally enjoyed this hotel. Very nice staff especially the lady working the nights. She chatted with us for a bit and made it a bit more like "home". Wish all hotels were like this! Area was beautiful, close to eating places, lots to do also.”
A very nice hotel if you just want something nice n basic. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the location is good. Never tried the food there, it didn't look great but there's plenty of options up the road. Very good value”
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and in every aspect it was a great place to stay . The only problem we had was that when we booked through hotels . Com as it was a special occasion we had asked if it might be possible to have a special room and were told after the hotel was contacted that if they could it would be dealt with on arrival. The hotel however appeared initially unaware of this then found mention in small print but said was not possible to do ( not necessarily because room not avail but generally ) . Were apologetic .Not sure who was at fault here the hotel or hotels.com ! When booking the agent was very helpful and seemed to go out of his way to make arrangements.”
We booked this hotel last minute and were unable to get a room that included breakfast. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The price of breakfast was 20 euros/person so we passed on that and found a nice waffle/coffee shop a few blocks away.”
you just know what you're going to get with novotel...you don't know where you are when you wake up because the rooms are so impersonal, but the service is always most excellent, and the amenities ample”
