My husband and I went to Geneva for an overnight stay. Hotel Auteuil was wonderful from the moment we walked in. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was nice and clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, but a little expensive.....but with the savings we got on our room...it was all worth it! We will be coming back!”
having read some poor reviews I wasn't expecting a lot! but we had no complaints during our short stay here. Very handy to the train station, the room was clean and comfortable and the twelve o'clock check out was much appreciated”
We stayed for two nights and found it wonderful. Nice 4 star hotel with all the extras (TV, wi-fi, marble bathroom, big room, quality linen, great staff). Its very close to the main train station and just a short walk to the lake. We will definitely consider staying here again!”
Very basic, but clean and functional rooms. Wonderful overall ambience throughout the hotel and the many outdoor areas to relax, take in the fresh country air, and to enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Zurich. I wish the Internet access was free - it gets costly. Also, they have coffee service setup at the Buffet in the mornings. Don't make the mistake I made by using this machine. It's evidently for their conference customers. I was admonished (and so were several others) by the hotel staff. Note to Hotel: Simply put a sign next to the coffee machine indicating that it's not for general use. Your servers (and manager) don't have to make the guests feel like idiots. This was the only consistent inhosptiable portion of my stay there - and easily correctable.”
this was such a great place to stay esp over the holiday weekend....even though everything was closed, we were still able to enjoy our stay because the in house starbucks & their restaurant was open too. a bonus was their swimming pool too! great service & wonderful top view of the city. we did get the pinnacle room, but next time we will just stay in their regular room because its not really worth more for it and it has its OWN coffee machine, unlike the pinnacle rooms...enjoy! also....we ate our breakfast at starbucks, the breakfast they have is like 35 francs....yikes :)”
I stay at the Engimatt whenever I go to Zurich which is once every three months on average. The Engimatt is perfect for both business and leisure travellors although slightly far from the city centre it is easy to get to the main train station with a simple tram ride. The price is very fair for the quality of this hotel in switzerland. Fantastic service (I once arrived and my booking had lapsed due to not infoming them of my cancelled flight, the staff could not do enough to ensure I was put up in another accomodation in the city and informed me as soon as a room opened up for the rest of my stay) brilliant hotel.”
Room was good for the money, actually a little more roomy than the pics indicate. My room had private bath in the room and 2 twin beds. No lift so that might make a difference to some people. I wouldn't say it was noisy there at night, but occassionally you could hear the 'bass' of the nightclub. This was mostly from around 11 pm. to 2 am. Only one block off of main shopping and restaurant district and about a 10 minute walk to train and boat piers.”
We were very satisfied with the service at the hotel, 10min walk from trainstation and very close to the shopping centre. The only complaint we had was the size and position of the T.V. A very good breakfast was included in the price.”
The staff was helpful and our room was a good size for three. The breakfast was nice and everything was clean. At check in they gave free metro passes. The metro(subway) was so close and convenient. Anyone can figure out the two route metro system. This was so much less expensive than hotels near the water unless you want to pay for that location.”
I was very pleased with the overall quality of service. My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Location is ok. The congress centre is 5 mins away but the historic part of the city on the other side of the river would take about 30 mins. However there is a tram line within a minute than will take you to the central part or to a connecting bus to the airport. The area seemed safe enough at night time and there are several restaurants and take away places nearby.”
Across the street from the central train station, very quiet inside so no noise to worry about. Rooms are well maintained, wi-fi is included. There's plenty of restaurant and coffee options next door.”
From the quality and welcome of the Reception staff, to the comfort of the rooms, this is the place to stay in Basel.Excellent service, great amenities, great location, with tram stop outside.Rooms are very comfortable, with great views over the city. I was on the 10th floor and had a very comfortable 3 night stay.I will definately be back.”
