The hotel was good for drivers, secure parking was a major feature for us. The hotel staff were very, very kind and helpful, the room was simple and clean. Wifi worked. The breakfast was good. The price was good for the features provided. We had dinner on the balcony and this was very pleasant. This is very much a family run hotel and we enjoyed the experience. The drive into town was short and easy. Check your maps are up to date if travelling to Croatia, there are numerous road works. All you ever read about the drivers is true!”
The hotel was excellent. Right on the main square. Less than a 10 minute walk to the shopping area, and a few minutes walk to the cafes and restaurants. The rooms had perfecr views of central Tirana. All staff spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Everything in the hotel worked and the internet services were fine. A lovely hotel.”
Nice hotel, the only issue I had was their strict rule on no guests in room- irritating when the weather isn't so great. Had room 302 which included a nice top floor balcony- but issue as close to stairs and so could hear people outside door- only small issue as very small place. As others have said, no lift and no real common area. Breakfast was basic but filling, although sometimes ran out of things. Wifi was a little flakey- but that's the norm in Albania!”
Fine hotel with nice rooms. My room had a rather big balcony but in a courtyard so no views or anything. Nice breakfast and friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is a 10-15 min. walk from the castle and 2 min. from the main square.”
I stayed in Albion Hotel with 3 friends in july 2012. The staff at the hotel were very very helpful, they offered a 3rd bed to save 2 of us sharing a double at no cost on arrival. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and is around a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the main station and port terminal, We were offered breakfast in the morning which was all very good. We all enjoyed our time in Durres and were more than pleased with the hospitality and cleanliness the hotel and staff provided.”
