This is an exceptional boutique hotel very well located within very easy walking distance of sights, restaurants and leisure activities in Cape Town. The style of the hotel is modern / hip. Rooms are very spacious and luxurious. The only gripe we had was that it took room service almost an hour to inform us that an item on their menu was not available. Apart from that the staff in all areas were exceptional. This is a must stay hotel in Cape Town”
The guesthouse was so much nicer than I expected. We stayed in the main guesthouse, with two comfortable twin beds, a GORGEOUS bathroom and our own deck. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was the best we had in Cape Town. Definitely stay here (Morgan Freeman did!)”
This hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Company's Gardens and a few minutes walk from several restaurants. My room and the service were fine. If you choose to have dinner in the hotel (buffet available), you need to check in advance as apparently they may have limits if a large group has arranged to dine there.”
As always a very pleasant experience. Only downside would be the fairly normal delay to receive attention at reception - a reflection on how busy the hotel is! Once attended to the staff are most obliging.”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Protea Parktonian. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, the service exceptional and the breakfast to die for.The only thing I think the hotel management should look at is the pool maintenance. Wanted to take a dip during my stay, but wasnt encouraged by the sediments in the water. However the view from the roof where the pool is located is simply spectacular.”
I have stayed at numerous 5* hotels worldwide and found the level of service, cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail second to none at the Micelangelo. The room was well furnished with complimentary High speed, and 3Mbps provided and the marble bathroom was spacious with an oversized bath and generous shower. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with choices like salmon, eggs and caviar! Even my toddler was provided with a feeding chair. I stayed with my wife and 2 children and would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to experience real class.”
We had a plesant stay with the lads. Its a great hotel but a make over would make it regain its glory. Rooms were clean and fresh save for the carperting in the corridors! I have always argued against carperting in Africa its so hot and its an overkill!”
We had stayed here many years ago but it was just as pleasant.”
The overall experience was good, service excellent however we were not happy that the bed was a double bed instead of king and because it was a busy weekend the management could not change our room....we slept uncomfortably! Since we had spent our honeymoon at the Edward 34 years ago we were disappointed as we were really looking forward to our stay there!!!”
