Hotels in Singapore

Hotel is conveniently located to a shopping mall and train station - both just across the road . These were not there on previous visit when the hotel had just opened. The station provides easy access to Orchard Road. The hotel is also in walking distance to Funan shopping centre. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area is ideal for relaxing after a day of shopping or sight seeing

We were initially assigned a room in the corner of the building floor plan. Whilst this overlooked the pool area, the window was only one quarter the size of rooms away from the corner, and was not very light. And we were staying 5 nights. When the noise from hotel reconstruction began next door we asked to be moved, and we were given a lighter room, not so close to the noise. The staff at reception were also most helpful for another request we made.

The hotel provided everything I needed from a business perspective. It was convenient, comfortable and cost effective (CCC) and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I felt instead of an Indian restaurant in the building, ideally, a restaurant with the Singapore touch of flavor would have been appropriate.

The Inter Continental is a great hotel, attached to Bugis Junction shopping area. Walk two blocks toward the bay, turn left, and there are several local restaurants, complete with ducks hanging in the window. Had dinner there, and the cost for 2 people was $10.00US. BEST meal we had in Singapore. The dining and drinks at the hotel were rather, (in my humble opinion) pricey. Kaluah on ice was SIN$17.00, or about $14.00 US. Breakfast buffet was $30.00US, and dinner buffet was $70.00US. I am sure that the food was excellent, but I cannot eat that much ! Book the hotel for the facilities and the location. It cannot be beat. I shall definitely stay there again.

the hotel is 'exactly what is says on the tin', a very clean, modern, basic hotel. modern and mostly clean - basically a clean bed for the night. perfect for a quick stopover/transit stop. not a hotel to spend time in or relax in. had a couple of queries with the staff who more than helped - service was excellent. the hotel is budget and basic with location quite good. price was 'ok' for what you got.

for us, no problem; it's close to public transport, local shopping area, avoids city transport route to airport, and has basic facilities delivered in a friendly manner. Some might not like the dog kennel adjacent but with breakfast served outside we found the dogs fun to watch. No lift to top floor and quite a lot of steps around the place but if we managed OK at our advanced stage of life then so can others. If you like chrome, glass and constant "service" then don't stay here. If you want a reminder of what many local hotels used to be like 40 yrs ago then this is it.

We had excellent service from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and within a short distance to the river or to shopping. We had a wonderful view from our balcony.

nice clean hotel, good location next door marina square was extremely convenient for shopping and eating out 'panoramic view' room actually a misnomer, quite misleading breakfast had a good range of choices but cafe arrangement was wierd, especially if seated at the opposite end to kitchen and serving tables the few reception staff we dealt with clearly had difficulty with english language

It's realy a place that we call home away from home. The location is the best close too a MRT and short walks too great place like Marina Bay Sand and Qlark Quay and Raffels is on the other side off the road. Breakfast is fantastic rather served in room or in the restaurants. We recommend the hotel highly.
