I forgot 2 bottles of very expensive rum in the Airport Taxi,I informed hotel staff of this,and they promised to get my rum back for me,however, each time I tried to get information concerning the progress of this,staff kept making excuses.On the morning before checkout the taxi driver came to the hotel to drop off the rum,there he told me that he had brought it shortly after discovering it and staff at the front desk said they weren't aware of me or the rum. Also on checking in I was promised two twin beds for myself and the two children I was travelling with,instead I got two single beds and one of the children volunteered to sleep on the floor as the bed was too small to sleep on with his brother. For a checkout four hours later than the time stipulated I was charged $100US,during this time whilst trying to rest for my longhaul flight I was subjected to continuos noise from building works goin on outside,after complaining four times and paying for the extra time I was reluctantly removed to a noise free environment.”

overall a confortable hotel. it is very old fashioned and needs refurbishement but the rooms are very spacious and calm. the staff at reception were very professinal but the waiters ( well the only waiter) was very slow and nonchalant. the breakfast was not very nice ( fake coffee). we took some toast bacon and eggs and toast and it was ok. we did not eat any other meal. to sum up this is not a place of great luxury but a cheap convenient place in the West coast. we only spent 2 nights so we did not mind that service was slow and the hotle old fashioned. overall we recoment that hotel.”
We stayed at the Travellers Palm. Studio was brightly furnished and very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff. 5 to10 mins walk from lovely beaches, supermarket, fuel and banks.Easy, cheap bus into Bridgetown, would advise you to use blue Government bus as opposed to yellow private ones who may take your money, then not go where they said they would! Only gripe with hotel is that we had no hot water for 4 days, but in that heat, a hot shower wasn't really necessary. The internet in reception (US$5 per half hour) kept crashing, so the receptionist just let us use hers (with no further charges). Lovely, quiet situation, but wouldn't recommend if you wanted busy nightlife.”
