Hotels in Senegal

Due to unforeseen circumstances I required assistance well above and beyond what can be expected from hotel employees, but the staff at Radisson Blu Dakar came through and provided me all the help I needed. When it is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant and beautiful sea view on top of the great service I warmly recommend this to other travelers.

The Pullman is centrally located in Dakar, walking distance to restaurants and area of visit, the port, etc... not much to visit downtown and limited restaurants but a few worthwhile "brasserie" types and bakeries such as you would find in Paris, Novotel is 5 mins away, the hotel is clean, well maintained, I was in the newly remodeled room facing the city so ask for city view and you will get newly appointed rooms, service is good, kind people and you feel perfectly safe, restaurant is good but food in Dakar is expensive breakfast buffet can run $20+ dollars. The rooms are typical Accor chain rooms which is Novotel standard, compared to the US its equivalent to a La Quinta or Best Western but wrapped into a Hilton or Westin syle structure. Rooms are small, comfy beds, bathroom small, clean carpets, safe and fridge in room with free mini bar consisting of water and soda. The AC is very limited in the room common to Accor hotels in Africa its central AC so does not blow hard and the room can get quite stuffy. People and service make up for the few inconveniences. Its Africa afterall, if you want the best hotel in Dakar pick the Terrubi or Radisson the Terrubi has its own marina and private beach very comfortable and perfect at every level, a bit pricey but negotiate with hotel staff in person or by phone and they will get you promo rates, the Radisson is over the top price wise but the best in Dakar right now.

Excellent service, well trained staff. The Spa is a must. Location is highly recommended for relaxing, a break from hectic city life. Hotel has a good manageable size that allow personnal service. Suggest details os spa treatments to be made available.

It's a great hotel located a the end of the main road of Somone, so it's very pleasant, no more hotel after Royal Baobab, juste the beach and the lagune. We have just one negative comment to make : too many animators and animation extremely noisy from 9:30 to 23:00... Frankly, it's too much! Fortunately, you can go to the beach away from the pool and noise! And ask for a room far from the pool! But it's great with kids and food is excellent and very diverse.
