Stayed in a 7th floor suite for 9 nights. Room was excellent, good gym. Service mostly good, but they could do with better concierge service as I got wrong info about mall opening hours leading to wasted trip. Food only OK - not bad, but nothing special in any of the restaurants (and I tried them all) I was fed up of the very average breakfast buffet by the time I left. Corridor v smokey and it seemed to get into the room via the air con at times - but this seems to be an issue with all Riyadh hotels Overall room / internet was top notch and worth upgrading to a 7th floor suite as room was great and you automatically get access to the free club lounge with snacks in the evening”
Rooms are newly renovated and they are excellent, but the condition of the lobby and elevators are bad. Will stay there again since I don't spend much time at the hotel itself.”
For the price, this hotel cannot be beat. The hotel has some age to it, but the rooms were clean and the lobby was fine. The hotel employees were very courteous. I went to the concierge and told him I needed a car and driver for the afternoon, and in 20 minutes car and driver were ready. Good experience, but this hotel is slightly below other Marriotts in terms of general appearance, but I would stay here again anyway.”
I stayed for 1 night in this hotel. It was nice overall and the food is nice there too. I liked the that the hotel has free wireless internet with a decent speed. What I didn't like about the hotel was the very slow room service, it got them around 3 hours to get me an adapter and the location is far from the airport.”
Everything is good, except one point , the internet speed is too slow, and the given account and password allow 1 device only.”
Nearest to Kaba. Five star amenities. However our room phoen wasnt working. They didnt fix it even after two days of reporting it at the front desk. Bellboys provide zamzam water for a nominal price ($30/bag). They are very wager to help out on your needs. Apart from the haram view, the breakfast menu and quality triumphed. We would have loved it if they had a chef's cooking station dishing out our choice of omelettes, but the other dishes took away some of the disappointment. Again, more Indo-Pakistani dishes would have been welcome. What I found strange was the receptionist apparently bad mouthing about another irate guest to me. This is simply not done. Period. Hence the 3 stars on hotel service quality. Overall great value for the price !!”
Hotel was conveniently located in the Abraj Al - Bait complex which is adjacent to the Masjid Al Haram. The complex has a full fledge shopping centre with international shops and a good food court for the time which you are not praying (mind you , you will not want to shop or eat due the euphoria of being in Allah's town and near the sacred Kaabaa) but you will need to buy essential items such as prayer rugs, beads, zam zam..all is available here. The hotel also serves from great breakfast and the contemprary and modern look of rooms is comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Movenpick Makkah is your monies worth and some more.”
This hotel meets the excellent standards of a Hilton property. Its a little confusing. There are the Hilton Towers and a separate Hilton hotel. They are both side by side. Excellent location. Basically you just walk out the lobby and you are right across King Abdul Aziz for the haram. Cant say much more. The breakfast buffet was excellent.”
We stayed two nights. Very convenient location, 10 Minutes walk from haram shatter. Friendly and cooperative staff, spacious rooms Neatly cleaned. Good standard hotel . I strongly recommend this hotel in Medinah For stay.”
Plus: - Good location - Good price - Good room - Friendly & responsive receptionist Minus: - Check-in should be mush faster - Restaurant service should be better and cleaner”
Though not of the usual standards of IC hotels, it is not bad either. Located quite close to the haram, you can find many shops nearby for anything you might need. Plenty of eating places are nearby including KFC and Hardees. We did not eat at the hotel except for the breakfast which was okay. We got the impression as if the hotel is bit short of staff as service was slow (had to ask for the baby cot three times).”
