We had come to visit family and decided to stay for our last night of the trip at the Marriot. We came to the prices for a nights accomodation when we inquired at the front desk were 60% higher then to go and book on Expedia.com. I could not believe that coming to the resort would be such a difference in price than online. The resort itself is very nice and we had a nice stay for our last night. However, I would encourage other travelers to book online rather than risk being charged such a high price because your a tourist.”
We stayed at the Marriot on St. Kitts for one week, and then at Timothys for another week, so we have the ability to compare. Timothys is SO MUCH BETTER!! It has a friendly, laid back feel, it is RIGHT on the strip on a BEAUTIFUL piece of beachfront on the Carribean side (which is so much nicer than the Atlantic side, where the Marriot is).”
You know that the ambience of your hotel grounds are good when the tour buses stop by and let the the people in the bus take pictures of the grounds. (Love the waterfalls & the statues). We had an excellent stay at this hotel which provided great food, a clean room, quiet garden surroundings & a steel band on friday night. We rented a car to explore St. Kitts and get to the beaches around the island. If you don't want to rent a car, the hotel provided a free shuttle to the beach. If you're a middle class worker taking a vacation, the price is right! Just for laughs, check out the Marriot prices for a comparison!”
We had a great stay at the plantation. Very quiet and relaxing, the food was great, the location couldn't get any better and the service was excellent. The hotel was able to get us to and from places and schedule our events. The climb up the volcano was awesome, the climb down was even better.”
On first approaching the hotel I was extremely disapointed with the appearance of the hotel, from the road. The whole appearance was of a run down motel. When we did find the Reception cabin, hidden behind some bushes!!!!!, things immeadiately improved and then never looked back. The staff are extremely helpful and the resort and rooms, which are situated right on Oualie Beach are very clean and well appointed. I had booked a two night stay as a surprise "getaway" as it was our wedding anniversary, while we were away on holiday on St Kitts. I mentioned this to the receptionist, when she was checking us in and within five minutes they had printed off a personalised invitation for "Complimentary Dinner" in the restaraunt. It was about 30 paces to walk from the room into the sea and while snorkelling within 20 meters of the beach we saw a turtle lazing behind a rock. This hotel is certainly NOT "Marriott" or "Four Seasons", but what they lack in glitz marble and chrome, they more than make up for in service and pure "Peace and quiet".”
Room was spacious. Price was excellent. Although the restaurant at the hotel, their food wasn't good at all and OVER priced and it was open one some days and randomly closed on others. There were some bugs in the room as well.”

It was good and there are lots of conveniences within walking distance. The Friday nightclub even: the music was pry out of bed at 2300. I just could not take it so I join in but it hurt my schedule next morning. I mentioned it at check out and the lady said I should have told her about the music….not sure she had that power over such a coordinated effort and crowd.”

Nothing fancy but it was clean. We flew in at 10pm and only needed a room for the night. I had let the hotel know that we would be arriving late and security had our key was at the front desk. We would stay here again.”
