This hotel is not in the centre of Moscow as you'll be able to see from the map, however its a few minutes walk from the metro which was 5 stops into the Red Square at a cost of around £1 for a return trip. The staff spoke great English are were really helpful with any of our queries. In the surrounding area there are 4 other big 4 star hotels and a few really nice restuarants, we only felt the need to go into the town centre for one evening. Overall we were really pleased with this choice of hotel, the price was well worth it compared to the cost of hotels in the town centre. I will certainly be staying again on my next trip to Moscow”
Great time here. Great location near subway, restaurants, night clubs, Red Square, and many nearby stores means you don't have to walk too long to get around. Hostel staff is very courteous, helpful, and speak English very well. They will also book tours, taxis, and train tickets for you if asked. My only major complaint was about the laundry service which was incredibly slow. Recommended!”
I booked this hotel for my parents and they were very satisfied! The room was very good, bed was very comforatable and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. In the morning they had a wonderful breakfast and it took them only 5 min to get to the metro station.”
Mostly great stay at the Petro and the price was extremely good compared to nearby high end hotels. We did have to change rooms right away as the lower level rooms did not have windows that opened and the heat levels inside (applies to all buildings in Russia) are uncomfortably high compared to cool or cold temps in the autumn outside. The bathroom was 5 star for sure. TV was an extra charge for 2 channels, not a problem if you don't speak Russian anyway.”
Very clean hotel, swimming pool & sauna, great room with spacious beds and big bath room, plasma TV. Reserved car parking place in front of hotel at any time of the day or the night. Central location 10-15 min walk to the main touristic attractions, like Hermitage, Lady of Kazan or Cathedral of the Lord of spilled blood. Many good restaurants and small shops close to the hotel.”
Rooms were simple and small, but spotless and a very comfy bed & linens - I am so picky about beds! Free wifi and breakfast - wonderful. Best thing was that any staff member at the desk spoke excellent English and was always happy to help with any manner of question. Water cooler in the hall instead of disposable plastic water bottles in the room was an environmental touch I appreciated.”
It was a great hotel but hard to find and not convinent to travel to and from.”
This is relatively new hotel that provides quality accommodation and offers a brilliant breakfast. Staff speak English relatively well. It is quite a big hotel and seems underrated at 3.5 stars - great value for money. Key tourist points are spread out so you will require the use of public transport - trams go past the door (though didn't use them).”
We really enjoyed out stay at Park Inn. We were impressed with the friendliness, English speaking skills, efficiency and professionalism of the staff. It's modern, clean with a great buffet breakfast included in the price . Highly recommended for a stop over on the trans Siberian for value and comfort.”
