Beautiful hotel with very good Spa and pool facilities plus a cute private beach area. Overall great service and good value for money, very decent breakfast buffet. The only downer and Management promised us they are working on it is the fact that QATAR still caters very much for smokers, in fact too much! Non smoking bar facilities are not available at all, not even in a section of the bar ( and as per strict QATAR laws no alcohol is allowed outside bar areas ) this is however the only minus point. Friendly international staff and a great Concierge desk”
We stayed here for 4 four days -- easy walk to the souqs for shopping, barganing and restaurants, and about a 20 minute walk to the Museum of Islamic Art. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, but without a view. Great pool on the top floor that's rarely used. Staff was extremely helpful in arranging a 4x4 tour into the desert. The hotel is dry, but there is a bar at the Hotel Mercure that you can access (bring your passport) about a ten minute walk away. Very good value in the older part of Doha.”
The Movenpick Tower and Suites was impressive in many ways. Despite arriving at 6am, without requesting an early check in, the night manager had me checked into my room within minutes. This was a great start. I stayed in an Executive room which included a small kitchenette. The cleanliness and standard of the room were among the highest I've experienced world-wide. Room service was incredible and for a hotel of this calibre, I found the prices amazingly low. The main draw back for me was the location. The hotel is situated on the city side of a busy road. It was difficult to get taxis and you often had to double back when arriving at the hotel. If you are a drinker be aware that this is a dry hotel. I found this unusual as the majority of 5 star hotels in the area sold alcohol in their bars and restaurants.”
I loved it. I was there for a couple of nights and it was very convenient for me. Station was close, everything else was too. I have no complaints. Staff was very considerate and nice! If you're looking for a good place at a very good rate, I suggest this place for you!”
