This was one of the best hotels I ever stayed at, you feel pampered in all aspects, the only draw back is the renovation sounds but still that will only start around 10am and you will only hear it if you are at the toilet I.e. awake. I asked for a late checkout since my flight was at midnight they gave me a 6pm checkout for free and the reception officer told me that she was very sorry about it but there was a guest expected at 7pm for the same room :). New world hotel: I will be back :)”
Very good, well located, breakfast is also good. Our safe wasn't working properly so after a couple of calls to the lobby, three times someone had to look at it. the last one even looked when I was putting my password. We didn't bother using it. The safety issue in Manila is not great so we didn't use it after all.”
The hotel staff ware vary friendly and accomudating they will always try there best to help you and serve your all needs also the location of the hotel is vary good, the cost compared to the service is vary convenient for a 5 star hotel”

Ok, the rooms and corridors deserve to be renovated, and the neighbourood is not the cleanest i have seen. But altogether, the general location is fine, you can walk safely around (7eleven, restaurants, even the PowerPlant Mall, 15 minutes walk), you have always taxi ready in front of the lobby, the staff is correct, and as far as i know, the price is quite reasonable.”
Stayed here for six days, the staff are very outgoing and try hard. The room I booked was meant to have a king bed but ended up with 2 singles, bit of a let down. The hotel has plenty of 5 star restaurants to choose from with lots of service, but you will pay above the odds for dining at the restaurants. I plan on staying here again for next trip”
Great hotel quality at an affordable price this is the best hotel i have stayed at for the price in Philippines. The staff are great and will always give you a form with the taxi details for any complaints this keeps the taxi drivers in line. The food is fantastic and the 500 peso buffet lunch is cheap and the best buffet I have seen in a long time. Overall I love this hotel and will always return to this hotel in the future!!!!!! Also free wifi through the hotel and free internet connection in the room!!!!!”
I highly recommend people to stay at the Marriott Cebu as the hotel security is very tight. When they help you call for a taxi they would copy down the taxi`s license plate. The best part is that just next to Marriott is Ayala shopping mall .The rooms in Marriott give you a comfortable feeling and the staffs at the hotel are very friendly but the only problem is that there is no free Wi-Fi which is rather inconvient.”
stay was very nice, hotel needs some upgrading, food was average, breakfast buffet was disappointing, but location was excellent, staff at hotel where all very friendly and courteous, pool maintenance needs some improvement!!”
In general, we were pleased. The hotel is in excellent repair as far as I could tell, the service is at the level you expect at this price, and surprisingly, the hotel's restaurants are among the cheaper in this part of Boracay! The location was brilliant for most activities. There are just a few things we were not happy about: There were some tiny ants in the room, apparently finding something to eat after the previous visitors, and once you've got ants in, any snacking in the room brings more. There is no soundproofing of the door to the external corridor, but the room (third floor, view to the pool with the bar, close to a corridor junction) was in a quiet part of the hotel. There is one thing that wasn't so good about the hotel, and that was the WiFi service. At 500 p/24 hours – which is a high sum anywhere, especially in a price class where WiFi often is free of charge – we expected good signal conditions in the room, and no limit on the number of devices to use with the WiFi code. But after the first use (a smartphone), the second use with the same phone failed because "another computer is already using" the same code. We had to call to get them to reset their settings, and got to get an increased limit for three (3) devices in total. Calling for three devices was necessary also with WiFi access card number 2.”
The resort was peaceful and very clean, even over the Christmas period when we stayed. It's a stones throw from the beach and main footpath which has all the local bars and restaurants. It is also only a 15 minute drive from the harbour where you land on the Island. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.”
