Very satisfied with this hotel and it's staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was very good although I bit of a walk (5-10 minutes) from Kennedy square - not a big deal as the walk is safe and enjoyable! The breakfast is amazing and staff is friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel!”
Great hotel in a fabulous location. High on cliffs looking out at the Pacific Ocean. Nice park in front where locals walk their dogs. Short walk to Larcomar centre where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Staff very friendly and helpful, nice small bar to relax and enjoy a drink after a full day of activities.”
The JW Marriott is great (nicer than your standard Marriott in the U.S. and also huge), and in an excellent location in Miraflores. My only complaint was that there was black mold in the marble shower, and I was pretty disgusted with that.”
Our room was clean and nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in this hotel is exactly as pictured, and the hotel staff is awesome. They even stored our extra bag for the 5 days we were gone on the Incan trail and an overnight in Aguas Callientes. The in room massage therapists made out evenings even better, at such a low price for an hour massage. The breakfast was perfect, and the neighborhood is great, less than 5 minutes to any attraction, Only one minute to the famous San Pedro market. Everytime you enter the hotel, you are treated to a Nice hot cup of tea and someone always wants to help you with your bags. The only down fall is that you are greets at the airport for your shuttle by an extremely pushy seller of city tours, who takes you in a cab and simply won't leave you alone until you purchase some sort of a tour from him. I mean this guy will actually follow you to your room!”
We stayed in this hotel twice, before and after our 4 day inca trail trip. Although it was a bit more expensive than some of the other hotels we had looked at, it was definitely worth the price. Its very close to the main part of town, an easy walk. It is a beautiful old building with loads of character, but renovated to provide all the modern comforts. Spacious rooms with huge comfortable beds, we also had a bathtub in our room, which was much appreciated, particularly after the inca trail. The hotel organised tours for us and also stored or luggage for the days we were on the inca trail. When my partner fell ill on our last day, the hotel allowed us a late checkout at no extra cost. Highly recommended.”
You cannot expect too much from the hotels here, but this hotel was great for us. We stayed here for two nights before our Inca Trek and for one night after. Our first stay was at the front of the hotel which was a bit noisy, but we asked to be at the back for second stay and it was perfect. Breakfast is adequate and there is Coco tea constantly available. There is free internet access 24 hours which is a great benefit when you are travelling. I would definitely stay here again.”
This is an excellent hotel at the entrance to Machu Picchu itself. .Staff were excellent, food was very good and even the evening entertainment was enjoyable. The fact that it is at the entrance to Mach Picchu itself meant that I could be in there at 6.30 am before anyone else, wander about for an hour or so and then return to the hotel for breakfast and then go back for a more thorough visit to the site. It is an expensive hotel, but worth it for one night.”
