It was difficult to find the way / right elevator in the hotel. Could have been usefull with more information about where the restaurant, pool and so on were located. Irritating to stand in the elevator and realease that you can not come to the right level.”
A weekend in winter-Oslo, partying with friends. The cold weather was affecting the indoor temperature, chilly near window. Central heating was not working in the room. I found a seperate electric heater in the cupboard, plugged it - and could maintain OK temperature.”
We used to live in Oslo, and for us this was a convenient choice. No warm cables on bathroom floor, and heating system malfunctioned. Very cold around new year. Also, we were told that the hotel was understaffed at this time of the year, so we had to go downstairs to carry up a heater ourselves ( in the midst of the night the heating system started to work again all of the sudden). Sofa bed was not great, but overall family room was spacious and good. Great location.”
good place for two, three nights. Noisy neighbourhood, at least one night we stay in (clubbing drunks probably). Otherwise a place close to many interesting points and a walking distance from station if you choose to travel by train.”
Everything was outstanding besides two things:Towels could be softer and the TV channels sound was not ok. I could only watch paid movies, not TV.The breakfast was very good, great cleanliness and service also.”
I have booked one family room for my Wife and two kids (girl 14 and Boy 10) for one night during our Norway in a nuttshell trip. We were pleased to discover a large hall and a room in addition to kitchinette and Bathroom. Only two hick up are the sofa bed which is ok for one night but not really confortable and the fact the you have to access this room from the outside (i.e. go from elevator to the outside corridor and reach the room) while it was pretty cold and rainy... There is no catering or room service besides Breakfast which wasserved outside the hotel but unfortunately, on that day it did not start at 7 as advised by Front desk, consequently we had a very light breakfast as we had to catch the train for the Tour. Most hotel in Bergen are at walking distance from main train station therefore, Incity is also well located and close to Fish market. This is not a fancy Hotel but it served its purpose.”
Hotel was very clean and room good size.About 10 minuite walk to downtown.Good price and great breakfast. The staff member on desk when checking in was a breath of sunshine she is a asset to the hotel.”
Great location with views across lake and right next to old town and amenities. Very friendly reception staff and very good buffet breakfast. Hotel just needs a bit of tlc. Curtains and sheets stained - bed wobbly and window catch broken. Still good value for money all the same.”
This is a nice hotel in the heart of Stavanger, and from Løkkeveien you have only 3 minutes walk to the center of the city. Our room did not have the best view, but I still stick to the location since the price was not too expensive. Clean rooms, nice staff and good standard makes this a place worth stay the next time. If you want a good view, more exclusive standard and a more charming location you should choose another hotel in the city. Still, I would say that this place consider the price is worth that money if you are not seeking for the top rated hotel.”
We had a standard room on the 8th floor, which overlooked the water and had views to the Arctic Cathedral. Can't fault the room really; it was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was reasonable spacious, bathroom was nicely appointed. We only had one breakfast, and it was ok - the usual fare. The hotels location is great - just across from the Rica Ishavshotel which is where the Flybussen bus stop is located, and where many guided tours leave from. The main street of Tromsø is only a block north, and there are several good restaurants or cafés within walking distance.”
It was excellent as the room had a kitchenette and we were able to cook our evening meals, and so save money. There was a supermarket 50m fro the Hotel. Norway is expensive to ear out. The location of the Hotel is pretty good, as Tromso is a small town. In addition, the staff were friendly and very helpful.”
On Arrival to the hotel we were met very warmly by the receptionist who is also the owner. He gave us a good explanation of the best places to visit and the trips and tours available and also offered to book for us. All staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Rooms are very basic but clean and amenities ie shower etc are all very well kept. View from room was disappointing since it overlooked what looked like a dump site but we did not spend too much time in the room since there's lots to do and see! Highly recommend to anyone looking for accomodation in the area. Self Catering Apartments are also very nice and recommended considering the restaurant prices!!”
