Very comfortable hotel close to most places in the city you need to get to. Can walk to the museums in 15 minutes or take a tram nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful and everyone speaks English. There is even a nice new pub located a block away if you want some local flavour!”
Let me start of buy saying that I have stayed in 3 different hotels in Amsterdam and this is my overall favorite. The location is absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself has a few things lacking but that is understandable considering the fact that that is how it is (at this price) over here. The view is great, proximity fantastic. The room has no fridge and there are no smoking rooms. Enjoy your stay.”
The hotel was clean and in good condition. The room was comfortable. The hotel was well located near restaurants and cafe's. I didn't have the breakfast buffet as there are good places for breakfast next door that are half the price. The lobby area was nice. The fireplace was nice to warm up to.”
This Hotel was superb for our short break. It was very clean, friendly and just far enough away from the centre to be away from any noise and bustle but easily accessible ,on foot, from the central rail and bus stations. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
What a great hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful and spoke great english. Very Clean and comfortable bedrooms, we were very central to the city center only 5 mins walk and right next to the train station. No need for a taxi as the station is just outside the front of the hotel. If you had to say anything bad about the hotel it is the cost of the internet which was 22 euros a day or 10 euros for an hour and if you want Breakfast in the Hotel its 29 euro (But it is a Five star hotel). We will go back again cause for shopping Rotterdam is a great city.”
Possibly the most helpful hotel receptionist I have ever come across. Breakfast was very good, room was clean and well designed. There was a bit of noise from the club opposite (on a Tuesday night). Much better than I was expecting after reading the reviews on here.”
This hotel was chosen based on reviews by customers and the location close to Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel was exactly as described in the reviews and the stay was enhanced by the excellent attention and service of the hotel staff. We had a minor issue with the booking and contacted Hotels.com who resolved the matter immediately and Hotels.com went far beyond what was expected. We will definately use Hotels.com for future accommodation and will also return to the Hotel De Duif. We had a hire care in order to visit a number of places in the Netherlands and this location proved ideal with access to main motorway being around 3 kilometres and within about 20 minutes drive to Amsterdam. Lisse is a pleasant quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. Parking in free public car parks was very close to hotel. Lisse is a delightful place with great shops and an abundance of good restaurants within 100 metresof the hotel. We found the staff in restaurants and shops to be most helpful. We arrived later than planned and it was dark, unfortunately we got lost in the outskirts of Lisse and managed to drive down a cycle route by mistake and surprised a couple cycling. They explained it was a cycle route and not for cars and accepted our apologies for the mistake. They then said that the easiest option would be for them to cycle to the Hotel De Duif to show us the way and this sums up the warmth and helpfulness of the people of Lisse and the Netherlands.”
Great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great. Central location but a bit of a walk when dragging luggage along. The wet floor shower concept is a big NO NO...water everywhere....a shower curtain would help.”
Ibis Den Haag City Centre is wonderful value. Good service and an amazing breakfast buffet. Room is sparse as an \ibis hotel would be, but clean and ample room. Highly recommend it with it's convenient location for many things walkable and transit.”
The Eden Design is ideally situated. Near to the railway station and not far from the river. The hotel is clean and bright with helpful staff. The only downside was that we had to sleep with the balcony window open because even with the radiator switched off it was stiflingly hot. The pizza place on the next corner served pizzas to die for. We found the other eating places, being so close to the centre, too up market for us. All in all an enjoyable stay”
Good hotel, very efficient staff. Breakfast very expensive at 20E but enough nice coffee places around to make up for that. Rooms warm and beds comfortable. Free coffee and tea available in lobby which was handy. They held onto our cases after check out which was also very good.”
Very nice clean hotel with good rates. Our only complaint is that sometimes we could smell the separate smoking room off of the lobby.”
