Good, clean, comfortable hotel in Vienna to stay for both business and pleasure. Close to the Metro underground network for ease of mobility. Hotel staff is very friendly, and cooperative. Rooms are clean and have basic amenities. Price may be little too high this time, but over all its good value for the money. I'll definitely will stay again whenever my plans bring me to Vienna again for business. This was already my second stay here in this hotel.”
Mercure Wien Westbahnhof - Felberstrasse 4 Really pleased with this hotel. Everything was to a good standard and I'd particularly recommend the breakfast buffet - fantastic choice and quality. The location doesn't look that great on a map but is very convenient, being a short walk from U-bahn, S-bahn and buses. Also, there is an airport bus directly to Westbahnhoff leaving, as I recall, every 15-20 minutes.”
The hotel is a lovely four star, recently refurbished. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. No complaints aside from a rather rude receptionist - thankfully we only encountered him once! The underground and tram stops nearby make it easy to head 'downtown'. All in all, excellent value for money and highly recommended.”
Hotel was very close to the airport and right near bus stops for 2 main bus lines. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The room was small, but very interesting without right-angle walls. Nice to not be in a boring box of a hotel room. The price was very low. I would highly recommend.”
Booked hotel cause they claimed parking was available, when I checked in they had no spots available and staff member didnt know where was a safe/legal place to park nearby. Luckily it was the weekend, still had to park 2 blocks away. About a 15 minute walk from the centrAl area. Room clean but small. No internet available.”
My seventy-eight year old mother, my twenty year old daughter and I stayed at the hotel a few days ago and we all absolutely loved everything about Salzburg and would absolutely return to the Hotel Elefant if we go again. Salzburg was added to our itinerary (Prague, Budapest and Vienna) by our travel agent and turned out to be the highlight of our trip. And the hotel is in the middle of the middle as our taxi driver told us, steps from the Rathaus (and I mean steps literally). The hotel was full of old family furniture and mementos and the hotel restaurant was a very good and reasonably-priced place to eat. We ate both a lunch and a dinner during our one and half day stay. It may be loud in peak periods because of its location in the absolute heart of the old city, but we were there during a grey and cool April period. We kept the windows open at night, and slept well until the 6 a.m. deliveries begin, at which point we closed them and were fine.”
The location of the hotel is really good, in the middle of the old city. The room was a new and comfortable. I share comments in the internet, there is a noise isolation problem at this hotel. Stayed for one night and was very exhausted so by help of it we fainted in to sleep other wise it would be painful and hard to fall asleep.”
The name says it all. It´s a very romantic hotel, the room was great. The relax area with sauna perfect. The restaurant was top notch and so was the breakfast. I recommend it for both families and as a romantic get away. Walking distance to the old city...”
The hotel was great and not too far from the old town---it was a 15 minute walk, but the walk was along a jogging path beside the river, so we didn't really mind. Great customer service. We loved the modern decor in the room; some reviewers have likened it to IKEA. Possibly, but the furniture was all high quality and the room was efficient yet spacious and very clean. The only downsides were that our room faced a very busy street, which became loud early the next morning; if we had used the AC in the room instead of sleeping with our window open, we wouldn't have noticed this, though. The other slight problem was that an ambient light behind the headboard of our bed was burned out; not a problem for us, but it spoiled the perfection of the decor. Overall, I wish we could have stayed in Innsbruck (and this hotel) longer.”
Very nice hotel. Convenient position. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Drinks and meals were very expensive and there are a limited number of restaurants in the town. The spa facilities were excellent (but you have to get used to no swimsuits). We'd recommend this hotel.”
This is the type of hotel that you can relax in and that you look forward to coming back to after a hard day's walking. The balcony gives you extra breathing space in the room and thus makes the room a little home. There were no tea/coffee making facilities which was just as well or we or we might have stayed too long in the bedroom. The wellness centre was something special and you could luxuriate there for hours. The staff were very helpful. We stayed bed and breakfast only while most people were half board. If you wanted dinner just having the main course caused problems as a la carte was off the menu. It is not a hotel for children which suited us as a couple in our fifties. If you are looking for a hotel with action this hotel is not for you! The bar was always empty and there just wasn't anyone around. However downtown was only minutes walking distance.”
