The hotel was beautiful . It was nice, that because of low season ,to be upgraded for free. A lovely bonus. The pools are very nice. Everything was very clean . The bed so comfortable. The food was all excellent. Even though our stay had to be brief it was a lovely experience.”
Other than they had a problem with the machine that "makes" the room keys and we had to call somebody of the staff to open our room eeeeeeeevery time we got there, the hotel is kept in good condition, clean, the location is good if you want to hit the "party time" section of the hotel area, not far from downtown Cancun. Good value for the money.”
We went with our 2 year old and had a great time. The hotel was great, well maintained. The service was outstanding everywhere, from beach service to room service to concierge. Really liked the attitude of everyone. Very friendly. Also hotel is located in a good location. Really nice beach...”
The hotel room in Mexico City was good. Room was ok. Service was awesome from all the guys there, Raul at concierge was very helpful! Room cleanliness is ok, but they do organize your room every day if you are staying more than 1 day there. I would stay there again.”
We stayed in a club room (Brisas Club) Excellent check in on 11 th floor , Breakfast included and wine in the evening, The rooms are spacious with very comfortable luxury beds, Well worth the extra payment All the staff most helpful and courteous No problem with a late check out and Pedro in the club lounge offered us a soft drink on our departure We will always return to this hotel”
Our stay at the Camino Real was excellent. Our room was great - except that we couldn't figure out how to get the TV channels; the food in the two restaurands was also excellent, and the service was very attentive - except in the Blue Lounge Bar”
We chose this hotel because of previous stays. The staff is always friendly, professionl and very polite. The Hotel has wonderful facilities and the restaurants always guaantee great meals. We'll definitely stay again!!”
Definitely not 5-star facilities, but that's the charm of the place. Food was great, especially the theme restaurants . We loved the buffets, especially the breakfasts. The staff, grounds and nightly entertainment were excellent. We'll go back again and would recommend it to everyone.”
We enjoyed our stay but this year there were too many young children staying at the hotel. The pool was always full of yelling kids. Maybe it was the time of year. The food was good and fresh but could have had a little more variety. The bar drinks appeared to be watered down. Beer was the only reliable drink at the bar. The bar closed early every day. The rooms were bright and oceanfront had a lovely balcony, wonderful to wake up to and go to sleep to the ocean waves. Overall we love Puerto Vallarta especially Old Vallarta.”
This is one of the most amazing hotels I've ever been to. I am very well travelled and have seen many amazing hotels and this is now on my favorites list. I was hesitant to try and have a romantic getaway with my partner in a party town like Cabo but now that we found this hotel I would consider it a perfect place for romance! The hotel is luxurious and the staff is amazing! It is a total five star experience! Quiet and calm with a beautiful view and gorgeous rooms that have private plunge pools that face the ocean. We were absolutely in heaven. Being a lesbian couple on our honeymoon I was a bit concerned we might feel out of place but our personal assistant who helped plan our romantic dinner on the beach and all the staff made us feel right at home. the crowd was mellow and very diverse. not a hardcore party place at all! We had no problems as gay travellers and felt right at home. If you have the money to spend I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. It's worth every penny!!!”
This was my second time to Mexico I stayed at the Riu Palace last time. I really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was at high capacity as it was summer break and the G20 was also on. This hotel is great if you want to party. There is always something going on. Its somewhere to stay if you are if you are going in a group or if you want to get to know people it is a very social hotel. If your looking for quiet getaway with your partner or just want to relax I would suggest the Palace. However the rooms are great very big we stayed in a room with an ocean view worth paying a little bit more as it is an amazing view and you will be in block 7 which is where the main pool is that over looks the beach. The staff are very friendly and willing to do anything for you. There is always food available and drinks never run out!! The gym is big with plenty or cardio machines. The pool areas a very large and there is plenty of sun to catch... if you don't want sun then get out early and get a brolly they go quick... The Riu is about 10 min drive into town and there are taxis available its $12US each way. Over all I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.”
We just left the Fiesta Americana after a quiet week in the sun. We remarked several times at the lack of throngs of people. So if you enjoy dipping into your choice of 3 pools and and hut tubs and being quite alone, then do go at the end of January. We found the Fiesta to be immaculate, friendly, accomodating in every way. And the breakfast buffet is a must. We got up early for coffee and read at the table until we were hungry, aroung 10 a.m., then headed for the beach which is rocky. By afternoon, we were ready for the pools and late snack in the outdoor lounge. The shrimp cocktail turned out to be a combination of gazpacho and ceviche, and was a meal! We would definitely return. The hotel is closer to Cabo San Lucas than to San Jose del Cabo, but neither one is more than 20 minutes.”
