Other than they had a problem with the machine that "makes" the room keys and we had to call somebody of the staff to open our room eeeeeeeevery time we got there, the hotel is kept in good condition, clean, the location is good if you want to hit the "party time" section of the hotel area, not far from downtown Cancun. Good value for the money.”
We really enjoyed our stay here. There was free parking. Service at the hotel was excellent. Room was really nice and modern. Beach was great. Breakfast buffet was included in room price and was very good with fresh squeezed orange juice.”
Had a great vacation at the Westin. The service couldn't have been better. The hotel definitely needs some updating in the rooms and needs a little maintaining. But the employees were 5 stars, the location was 5 star, the beach was 5 star, and the food was 5 star. I personally loved the rooms on the first floor for easy access with kids. The hotel was worth the money we paid.”
This is a great hotel with great service in a great location. The staff is very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of as their guest. Although, the business center was closed, I called the front desk and they had someone open up the business center for me, this is not common. I was very pleased, they really understand the concept of service.”
Great room for an overnight stay. We had a quiet room with a runway view. On arrival after 4pm we had to wait for our non-smoking room, for about 1/2 an hour. (after a long bus ride from another city....) The internet worked well, but was relatively expensive... we had stayed in another hotel of an equal class down in the centre of the city, and had the option of free wifi within the large lobby. Two coffees in the bar, which was under construction cost 88 pesos, or about $7.50US.”
Our stay at the Camino Real was excellent. Our room was great - except that we couldn't figure out how to get the TV channels; the food in the two restaurands was also excellent, and the service was very attentive - except in the Blue Lounge Bar”
Our only complaints were that we had no coffee maker in the room, there was only one hand towel (but 3 bath towels) and that the bathtub had not been cleaned. However the staff is all excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.”
I booked the Royal Club for 4 nights and it was fantastic. I got a room on the top floor and had access to the lounge that served free breakfast and happy hour. I also got a $200 food credit on top of it. It was well worth the price. The staff were very friendly with lots of attention to detail. In particular, Angel, Lino and the doorman (sorry, I forgot your name) were very helpful and they remembered my name too. I will be back for sure.”
We enjoyed our stay but this year there were too many young children staying at the hotel. The pool was always full of yelling kids. Maybe it was the time of year. The food was good and fresh but could have had a little more variety. The bar drinks appeared to be watered down. Beer was the only reliable drink at the bar. The bar closed early every day. The rooms were bright and oceanfront had a lovely balcony, wonderful to wake up to and go to sleep to the ocean waves. Overall we love Puerto Vallarta especially Old Vallarta.”
Right next to the town is a bonus first up. no need to take a shuttle. this place is luxurious, clean, well appointed and fun. it has a great vibe and excellent amenities to suit everyone. more for the under 40's crowd looking for a cool place to hang out. right on the beach and just down the road from the mango deck restaurant. this place is brilliant and very well priced for what you get. highly recomended.”
The room needs renovation. The view was blocked by a new resort (Casa Dorada) which was a brand new resort. Overall, not bad for a budget resort/hotel. But for honeymooners, you might prefer the ones with beach front but expect higher price.”
This hotel was spectacular. The service is extremely good, particularly at the pool but also in the restaurants. They don't bother you but if you even sit up and look around like you want something they are there in seconds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and never left the resort. The restaurants are awesome and serve really nice gourmet quality food. The prices are good as well, and the servings are often large enough to share. Unlike many resorts, I didn't feel robbed by the bill at the end of the day at the pool or at the end of dinner. The hot chocolate at the beach restaurant was the best ever, they make it homemade, no powdery stuff. The pool is heavenly. The beach is also nice but the water is pretty rocky around there, it was about 80 degrees the whole time we were there. I felt very safe the whole time I was in the resort. The spa was also very nice. I had a great massage and facial. It is a timeshare but they only asked once if we wanted a timeshare tour. Will definitely visit again.”
