Other than they had a problem with the machine that "makes" the room keys and we had to call somebody of the staff to open our room eeeeeeeevery time we got there, the hotel is kept in good condition, clean, the location is good if you want to hit the "party time" section of the hotel area, not far from downtown Cancun. Good value for the money.”
I fly through Cancun often and usually stay near the airport at one of two hotels. This visit I opted for the Westin - good choice. Nearly the same price as the others but such better service and comfort.”
This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we travel a lot. Excellent service, clean, superb location, friendly staff, great beach and pool. Highly recommended, probably one of the best, if not the best hotel in cancun.”
This is a great hotel with great service in a great location. The staff is very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of as their guest. Although, the business center was closed, I called the front desk and they had someone open up the business center for me, this is not common. I was very pleased, they really understand the concept of service.”
A great hotel which helped make our wedding night very special! I was booked in the night before and was able to upgrade to a junior suite which was perfect for my budget and special night. I had 15 guests staying at the same time and the concierge service was excellent in helping me and my non-Spanish speaking guests. Hotel is located in excellent, safe, area of the city with close attractions near-by. Will be staying again.”
Our stay at the Camino Real was excellent. Our room was great - except that we couldn't figure out how to get the TV channels; the food in the two restaurands was also excellent, and the service was very attentive - except in the Blue Lounge Bar”
Our only complaints were that we had no coffee maker in the room, there was only one hand towel (but 3 bath towels) and that the bathtub had not been cleaned. However the staff is all excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.”
I booked the Royal Club for 4 nights and it was fantastic. I got a room on the top floor and had access to the lounge that served free breakfast and happy hour. I also got a $200 food credit on top of it. It was well worth the price. The staff were very friendly with lots of attention to detail. In particular, Angel, Lino and the doorman (sorry, I forgot your name) were very helpful and they remembered my name too. I will be back for sure.”
Wonderful experience at The San Marino Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. This is my fifth time to PV but my first to this hotel. Arriving at the hotel, everyone greeted us, check in went smoothly, I was given a cerveza before I saw my room, we did the inclusive with the average room, we did the room up grade. Our room was typical Mexico, clean, sparse with big screen TV, just the way I like it! Beds are firm yet comfortable, remember you are in mexico. Incredible view from the 6th floor facing the water. The buffet is better then most, good variety, could use a little more fruit variety. Maid service was good and prompt. After staying at the large hotels north of the town with limited events, and now staying at San Marino with everything you could ever imagine, dining, clubs and shopping just around the corner, I will be back to the San Marino in the "romantic zone". It has been ten years since I was in PV, the Malecon entertainment is much upgraded, sand sculplures, live evening entertainment, security was never a thought as the Malecon lighting and Policia were very good. The beach at San Marcos is very clean and entertaining. Interaction with the locals and San Marino guests while on the beach made the day very fun. Evening walks on the Malecon and a few blocks off the main streets were safe and secure. Not a single problem. Will I be going back to The San Marion, yes and before the year is out! The weather was great, 80's for a high and very pleasant at nite. The real suprise is the upgrade in cabs. The cabs weren't the old beaters of 10 years ago. Now we rode in newer air conditioned mini vans! The funniest thing that happened was arriving at the airport the "tour hawkers" grab you and have their sales people give you a speil about their tours. Then you are escorted over to the cab counter and the girls are hanging out of their booths, three booths in a row, trying getting your attention to take their companies cab. Kinda looked like "ladies of the evening". But we are”
Right next to the town is a bonus first up. no need to take a shuttle. this place is luxurious, clean, well appointed and fun. it has a great vibe and excellent amenities to suit everyone. more for the under 40's crowd looking for a cool place to hang out. right on the beach and just down the road from the mango deck restaurant. this place is brilliant and very well priced for what you get. highly recomended.”
This hotel was spectacular. The service is extremely good, particularly at the pool but also in the restaurants. They don't bother you but if you even sit up and look around like you want something they are there in seconds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and never left the resort. The restaurants are awesome and serve really nice gourmet quality food. The prices are good as well, and the servings are often large enough to share. Unlike many resorts, I didn't feel robbed by the bill at the end of the day at the pool or at the end of dinner. The hot chocolate at the beach restaurant was the best ever, they make it homemade, no powdery stuff. The pool is heavenly. The beach is also nice but the water is pretty rocky around there, it was about 80 degrees the whole time we were there. I felt very safe the whole time I was in the resort. The spa was also very nice. I had a great massage and facial. It is a timeshare but they only asked once if we wanted a timeshare tour. Will definitely visit again.”
A very nice, clean place in a very convenient location (1/2 block from marina). Associated with the hotel is a very good Italian restaurant. Beware of serving portions though,, definitely supersized! All rooms/balcony face in toward the restaurant courtyard, which provides a nice ambience. Only problem with this is that it can get a bit loud if you want to get to sleep early.”
