Friendly, quick late check-in, helpful with handling damaged luggage from airline. Great room (upgraded)! Convenient to reach from KL Central train station by Monorail (with a small grain of salt concerning the walk from KLCentral to the Monorail, with more luggage, taxi better).”
The Park Royal in KL provides excellent value for the money. In particular the breakfast is stunning with a huge selection of local and north American options. Wireless was fast, lots of toiletries including toothbrush and shoe shine kits were complimentary. My one concern is that the windows are very thin and poorly sealed against noise. The hotel faces a major road with traffic noise being present until at least 3 in the morning. I was on the 15th floor and couldn't get to sleep without earplugs. I would definitely stay here again as the food, location and price are all enough to overlook the minor inconvenience of the noise.”
I have stayed in three different hotels throughout my stay in malaysia and honestly i couldnt find any better hotel than this one!! It is awsome the staff is perfect they are very welcoming and helping the rooms are spacious and clean and modern the loation was great it was beyond my expectations would defenetly go back there whenever i visit again..”
This place was everything it was posted as being...I had read that you don't really need to leave and it is true. When you are lying on your own sun bed on the best beach in langkawi, why would you go anywhere else? Fabulous staff and service...great cocktails.”
Stayed 5 nights. Idyllic setting on a rain-forested hilly peninsula with fabulous views of karst-formed islands and white sand beaches. Facilities are great. Wonderful beach and swimming area (although you do have to be careful about jellyfish – especially in the jellyfish season). Pool is medium-sized and attractive although it should be larger to accommodate the 300 or so chalets. Lots of activities: watersports, organized walks, island touring, archery, sandcastle building, beach volleyball and soccer, etc. etc. if that’s your thing. There’s also a children’s camp. Our chalet was excellent. Large room with comfortable bed – bathroom about the size of our second bedroom at home – and great view from spacious balcony. Breakfasts are plentiful with lots of choices in two restaurants. Five restaurants with a variety of food styles: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, bistro and standard restaurant. Food quality varies so eventually we found it’s best to stick to Malay or Indian food. Wonderful spa in a quiet, calm setting with a wonderful outdoor Jacuzzi to lie around in gazing up at swaying cassarinas and palms. Treatments were excellent and very good prices. Lovely place to return to and know about. Great stopover vacation en route to Australia or New Zealand.”
We visted the Andaman for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a perfect place is you wish to lay by the beach/pool and do nothing but relax. However, due to its location, you definitly need to rent a car if you want to get out and see the island - which we cant reccomend enough! The Hotel lacks any sort of exitement in the evenings and the local watering holes are at least a 45 min drive away. We also found the prices in the hotel to be very high. Espescially when you eat out in places like Chenang Beach and see same quality and better choice for much less. One evening we had to leave the Hotel restaraunt because everything we asked for on the menu they did not have in stock! Unacceptable in such a high star Hotel”
After a hair-raising 45 minute taxi ride from Penang Airport we were greeted at the hotel by Jay, she was gracious, helpful and basically lovely. A great start for the hotel. Our room was on the 22nd floor with a stunning view, second good point. Breakfast both mornings of our stay were also without fault, from the perspectives of surroundings, choice of foods and staff attentativeness. The hotel could not be faulted but I doubt I will return to Penang, but that decision has NOTHING to do with the hotel, it was fantastic.”
Hotel was very clean, the location is very strategic, and parking is very convenient. The receptionist was not very professional and a bit rude. Room service was not that quick. But all these are still bearable. I'll still come back to Evergreen again.”
Location was excellent as it was the heart of the island and food was just around the corner. The hotel need serious refurbishment (especially the toilets which is not convinient to older folks). Stayed at the hotel more than five years ago and it is still the same. Mosquitoes in the room!”
Very comfortable, and convenient access to major shops and to have a good meal out. The immediate neighbourhood is unclean and appears unsafe in late evenings(ie not much lighting and poor walking paths)”
Good service, very friendly staff ,good value. Maybe could explore the value of a nightclub type venue for those who want to party on beyond dinner as it gets a bit quiet. However, good for a relaxing vacation.”
there is nothing to fault with this hotel. the pool is delightful - plenty of shade from both trees and umbrellas. nice and deep and beautiful outlook. we wished we had kids so we had an excuse to use the water park!! the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the staff are friendly and lovely and will do anything for you. the food is incredible and there is a really nice range of restaurants. it is super close to the airport and town which is really convenient. we had the club access, which was great and you should definiltely consider gettting too. the breakfast spread was great and the light snacks of an evening were lovely!! we also stayed at the Rasa Ria Resort. these two properties are quite different, but equally nice. if you are trying to decide which of the two properties to stay out, have a think about what you want to do during your stay. if you want to sit next a pool for a couple of days and have a choice of shade and sun and maybe head into town, then this is the place to stay. if you want to feel like you're in the middle of the jungle and do lots of water sports and nature activities right at your doorstep (rather than catching the shuttle), then the rasa ria is for you. but it is important to note that both are glorious!! i cannot wait to stay here again. i didn't want to leave!! stay here. you wont regret it.”
