The spa was disgusting in complete disrepair. It had mold and smelled. After I complained they upgraded my room which was nice, but all I wanted was to go to the Grand hyatt Aaman. Service was lousy too. Do your self a favor do not waist your money on this hotel. Stay at the Grand Hyatt Aaman, it way better.”
It is located in a very convenient location - just about a 5-minute walk from the Petra ticket booth/entrance, and only minutes walk away from the Jett Bus stop (those of you who take the Jett Bus from Amman to Petra). There are some restaurants around the hotel as well. The hotel is clean, room is spacious, staff is friendly and helpful. Personally I found it a little bit over-priced for a 5-star hotel given that there's no spa services, and their business office (to use their computer/internet) is really basic with 3 computers, and only 2 working when I was there. However, overall, it was a pleasant stay.”
One of my better stays..great staff. Looked after me really well..the manager upgraded me to their suite immediately when my A/C stopped working. The seating areas give you a very warm and cosy feel-there is a decent choice of cuisine to cherish. Views fm the pool and the bar are very good to capture the sunset. The Bedouin tent outside adds that extra color and charm to the property. Overall,, the attitude of the staff needs to be highly complimented-they really take care of you. Would like to go back here!!”
We stayed at the Moevenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel for two nights whilst visiting Petra. Whilst this hotel was very cosy and we enjoyed out stay there were a few things that were frustrating. The hotel says that it is a five star hotel however there was no internet in the rooms and the wireless in the lobby was broken so we were unable to use our own computers. There was a business centre but the internet there was incredibly slow at times. They also did not have a concierge, when it was too cold and wet to visit Petra the person behind the desk was unable to offer us any alternative activities or any real advice about anything. The hotel was a bit out of town which suited us fine ad the view was great and we had a car but without a car could be a bit isolated. Overall our stay was fine but I would be inclined to say that this is more four star than five star and if you go with that expectation it would be enjoyable.”
Lived up to its 5* rating, very clean, well staffed. Has its own private beach and a number of swimming pools, restaurants and bars. Easy walk into Aqaba where there's a really good vibe. Worth spending the money for this top class hotel.”
The hotel is beautiful with breathtaking scenery. The reception staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming and accommodating. The room was a comfortable size with a lovely view of the ocean. Loved the bathroom. The swimming pool areas (yes with a s at the end) were absolutely beautiful. I was not too happy with housekeeping and the cleaning of my room was not up to standards. The hotel should work on improving this service. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the beautiful hotel.”
I made my reservation at rather short notice so standard and deluxe rooms were no longer available. Therefore I had little option other than to splurge on a Junior Suite, which fortunately were quite heavily discounted. All aspects of my stay exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely stay there again.”
Absolutely Amazing, good clean hotel with excellent service and the best food in Jordan. I will stay there any time again and can certainly recommend it. Situated in Madaba give you easy excess to all the surrounding sites without having to struggle with traffic all the time. Big thanks to the management and staff and special thanks to the cook.”
A very pleasant budget hotel with friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and an plentiful breakfast to start the day. The hotel is conveniently situated to all the places of interest and within easy walking distance to restaurants and general shopping. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to fellow travellers who are looking for value for money accommodation.”
