My wife and I went to to Tokyo this september. We enyoed our stay at he Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku hotel very much. The staff was very good, the location is excellent near the entrance to the Oedo line and Shinjuku station. We had the king size bed room which was large enough and very comfortable. The rooms are smaller than we are used to but not small enough to be uncomfortable. All in all it was a great stay and we would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Tokyo. We will be coming back!”
Shinjuku Prince Hotel offers comfortable stays. Certainly this hotel established somewhere in the early 80s has already somewhat declined from its earlier highest ranks from the very top of hotels in Tokyo. Nevertheless, it still offers well functioning services in its fully redecorated rooms. The concierge service (Bell master) is exceptional, the reception works hassle free. The surrounding area in the closest proximity to the hotel at the eastern exit of Shinjuku station (Kabukicho) did also peak commercially already in the 80's and 90's. Still it offers abundance of cheap joints to eat and drink, and if you are to tolerate a minor annoyance of small numbers of hustlers and bouncers addressing you in the evenings, this area gets to well settled in Tokyo. All in all, if you do not seek for the starts or romance, but rather a high class budget stay in a very practical and convenient spot in Tokyo, Prince is still rockin' and will suits your needs.”
Surrounding neighbourhood is shopping complex good for young generations. Taking train from ODAIBA sta. to central Tokyo takes 30-40min., so not inconvenient. It seems that many of the rooms have balcony.”
This is a affordable hotel in a great location. If you are taking the metro get off at the castle stop and from there it is a short manageable walk, even with luggage. The area is a good mix of convenient shopping and restaurants as well as very charming traditional Japanese shops. The downtown area is a short walk away or a short metro ride.”
The Hearton in Kyoto is a bit expensive for the small size (at least by Canadian standards) however the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly, which I expected given it's Japan, and the location was close to restaurants and public transport. Would stay there again and definitely recommend.”
Lovely, comfortable hotel. Liked the graphic on the window ledge that named the features you could see from your hotel window - nice touch. Very accessible to everything. Could not fault it. Staff helpful and knowledgeable, services excellent.”
This hotel is conviently located to the subway and the JR line. Close to Namba center and Dotonbori. The staff is pleasant and helpful The only fault I found was the room had a weird smell to it, it might related to the cleaning agent they were using during our stay. It didn't bother me too much. The room was a good size and the beds were pretty comfortable. Next time I'm in Osaka I will definitely stay here again.”
The hotel is a bit outdated and the room is quite tight but very clean. Front desk staff don't seem to know much english and power plug converter isn't available for loan like all the other hotels i've been to, however the hotel location is super convenient. Only a short walk to the Umeda subway station, shops and food places. Other train stations are also easily accessible by foot. We were travelling with a 1.5 year old baby and we find it super easy to get around from the hotel. Highly recommended!”
Of the 3 hotels we stayed in during our Japan 2012 trip this had more space than any. However it was still small by international standards and the beds are always hard. The location was fantastic, connected to nearby Kyobashi station by a covered walkway. This hotel is fairly new and being part of the new Osaka Business Park has plenty of cafe's/eateries handy. It is also a short 5 minute walk from the magnificent Osaka Castle (get a night pic). I's easily stay there again if visiting Osaka.”
The Grand Prince is a international hotel that has many amenities for every age, sex and nationality. From shopping, swimming, bowling, video games...there is never a dull moment. But if you want peace and quiet, there is that too. Hiroshima's shopping and tourist district is a short bus ride away, and the bus stops right at the hotel. Also convenient is the ferry, which I bought a two day pass and rode everywhere. It is the best way to get to beautiful Miajima, one of the most beautiful shrines with the famous Otori. I would highly recommend this hotel, for honeymoon, wedding, tourist or family.”
Single bedroom was the biggest I've had in Japan Very clean Soundproof Impersonal service but that's a business hotel Location is perfect for all transportation, trains, shinkansen, airport bus and trams. Possible to reach city center walking (30 minutes). Nothing special to see in the station area.”
Very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, had a love sear & chair in the sitting area of our 2 twin beds room. Also had the fortune to be there when the shrine next door was having a 2 day celebration for the fall festival. Lots of pop up food vendors and stage performances by many kimono clad dance groups.”
