We were uncertain what to expect, website not withstanding. However, it is a very well set up and luxurious hotel. The staff are unfailingly polite and always greet you with a smile, even if you are just passing. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The pools were clean and inviting. The location was excellent for us (near the BIMC hospital and Bail Collection).”
While they were quite expensive, we ended up booking a cliff villa for few nights and we did not regret it. The hotel complex itself is in very good condition, with very nice grounds. They recently added a bar on top of the ocean which is an attraction in itself. You go down to it using a lift (inclinator). There are 4-5 very good restaurants on sites, reasonably priced for the quality of international food you get compared to other worldwide locations. We tried the spa on the rock and it was very nice. However, compared to other similar resorts we went to in Bali, spa treatments were more expensive. It has to be linked with the fact they won the "best spa in the world" award this year. Overall, a wonderful experience.”

We stayed in Grand Hyatt for 7 nights . The Location is the best and every thing about this hotel is fantastic ,the pool area is just like in a resort in an island and the Fountain Lounge is the place to have a drink just before dinner .This is the place to go in Jakarta if you want to to do some shoping with two great shopping malls ,one right under the hotel and one across the road and also the local malls which is very interesting and very cheap is only a few minutes walk.Have a look around the city ... the taxi is very cheap and just relax........We are going back.”

was not given the room I paid for and they say I was upgraded but i could not get internet access to check my booking and after I checked in found I was not upgraded but downgraded to smaller room. I tried to discuss with the wonderful ladies on checkout but the internet I paid for would not work and I had to leave unsatisfied. The staff were good but I was a little sceptical anout whether I was getting the right room from the gentleman that checked me in and after viewing my booking I found I was downgraded from superier room to the one nelow, so I cannot see how they can say I was upgraded. I did not have time to argue and was relaxed and not in the mood.”
Checking into the club was so settling as the calm sets in unknowingly as you step into the airy five hectare with welcoming stone carved elephants and a reception hall missing of all technology expected in hotels. Time stops. Right there. You take your time to do the check-in, guided by your personal butler with his warm smile. It was a hassle-free pick up from Depansar and enjoyable ride to Chedi. The driver was open to dropping us by at the shops, although we were just craving to rest in hotel so didn't pick up the offer.We checked-in a little earlier, around 12pm. The location is almost perfect, near to trip advisor-recommended spas and the legendary Ubud market. Our personal butler will arrange for private transport pick up to and from hotel and the Ubud market area. We loved it that our butler will prepare the room for night and do up the room for day letting in the sun daily. Its very sweet and totally pampering. Dining by the padi field by day and by night is an absolutely serene routine. Accompanied by traditional indonesian gamelan instruments, the experience makes one never want to leave.”
My friends and I booked a room each last week at Aniniraka Resort in Ubud. It was fantastic. Rooms (more like suites) were spotlessly clean, beautiful linen and towels etc, air con, and extra conveniences like hair dryer, kitchenette with fridge - and a bowl of fresh local fruit also! Staff were friendly and more than helpful, and the small resort is on a rice field with a beautiful view. It was quiet, as it's a short drive from town centre. We actually walked into town, and called the hotel shuttle to pick us up when needed. (Easy and quick service). We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was delicious and very reasonable. We swam in the pool (has two pools, sauna and spa) in the morning which was lovely. Would definately recommend a stay - wish we could have stayed longer. Will be booking Aniniraka again without hesitation, when next in Ubud.”
The hotel was fantastic. We stayed 5 nights and were wishing we stayed longer. The buffet breakfast was great. The pools were nice. The hotel is little out of Ubud which is nice so it's quiet, but the free shuttle to/from town is great, otherwise it's a cheap taxi. I would definately stay here again.”

Everything is almost perfect. The beach, however is NOT ideal for swimming because the water clarity is poor. It's unsafe to snorkel out a bit further from the beach boundary where all the marine life are located because there are SO many water crafts speeding by with no regards for safety for anyone else that are in that area. Having said that, the beautiful swimming pools makes up for the lack beach activities.”
