See more detailsLocation. The Flamingo Las Vegas is located in Las Vegas, Nev., across the street from The Forum Shops and within one mile of the Sands Expo Center. Situated at the center of The Las Vegas Strip, next to Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino and across the street from Caesar's Palace, the hotel stands one mile from Fashion Show Mall.
Hotel Features. Flamingo Las Vegas features Hamada of Japan, serving authentic Japanese dishes and sushi. Voga serves a tapas menu, while Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville prepares casual island fare. Steakhouse46 serves aged beef and seafood. This property features a 15-acre water playground and a garden with five pools and three spa tubs. Two lighted tennis courts provide recreation. An 80-foot-long heated pool is flanked by flamingo statues and rental cabanas. A 150-foot water slide descends into three terraced pools. The lagoon pool features a swim-in grotto tucked behind a triple waterfall. A Wildlife Habitat is surrounded by terraced garden ponds, waterfalls and streams. The hotel's spa offers such indulgences as the Sugar Glow with Body Butter and the Marine Mud Mask, and houses a sauna, a Eucalyptus steam room and a limited-hour fitness center.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Flamingo Las Vegas feature floor-to-ceiling windows, most with views of The Las Vegas Strip. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access are available, for a fee. Bathrooms feature shower/tub combinations. GO rooms offer beds with oversized white vinyl headboards, triple sheeting and pillowtop mattresses. GO rooms are equipped with 42-inch, flat-screen televisions, MP3 adaptors, DVD players, BOSE speakers and LED chrome reading lights. GO bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers, frosted glass, embedded flat-screen televisions and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
Expert Tip. The wedding chapel's central garden displays a plaque that details colorful aspects of Las Vegas' history. The plaque describes the events that surrounded the sensational murder of former Flamingo Las Vegas founder, the infamous Bugsy Siegel.
