Fun Spots Hotel at Fountain Park (formerly Ramada)

This hotel was the second worse that I have stayed in. I passes the hotel several times because there was no sign outside. The lobby was okay. They got my reservation wrong and then tried to argue with me about it. When we finally got the room key, we went to our room. The hall on the way to the room smelled old and moldy. Upon entering the room it was horrible. The walls were dirty, the bed spreads looked old. The room smelled of cockroaches. I had not knob on the microwave to adjust the temperature nor did the fridge get cold. I was so disgusted that I and my kids slept in our clothes. When I called to ask for compensation for our inconvenience they told me no they were not gonna do anything about any of this. They also had the nerve to charge me some type of surcharge for things that I did not use at all. With the living conditions there I called hotels.hotels.com and told them to remove this hotel from their website. I also called the local code enforcement for their area. I hope people read this review before they make the same mistake I did!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

This hotel was pretty....compared to other hotels in the same area, with the same price. Convienence is it's biggest plus. There is a small convience store in the lobby that was quite helpful. The website does throw you off a bit though. There were no coffee makers in the rooms. The restaurant is not open. I had to ask for an iron, and when they brought the iron, they didnt bring an ironing board. There are definetly not many channels on the TV either. Other than these points, the place was pretty good. Most hotels at this price in this area dont have much to do and this hotel had a pool, hot tub, basketball, shuffleboard, volleyball and even a smalll putting green...all with equipment available at the front desk. (they do charge a small "resort fee" at the begining of your stay to use these items though. It would have been nice if they included this in the price ahead of time.
