Family activities such as amusement parks are abundant including two water parks that are guaranteed to keep children happy. Visitors will also find countless entertainment options in the numerous shopping malls throughout the city such as ice-skating, 10-pin bowling and cinemas.
For active visitors there are several golf courses and city parks to walk about including the large Rizal Park in the city center. The nightlife in Manila is lively, with an endless amount of bars, clubs and discos.
Water parks
There are several amusement parks available in Manila including two water parks which offer an exciting day for the whole family. Jed's Island Resort is an award-winning amusement park that has several swimming pools and water slides. Splash Land is another water park which also has an educational marine park filled with tropical fish and other sea creatures.
Performing arts
Manila is home to numerous performing arts centers. Both theater and musicals are popular in the city and foreign visitors will be impressed with the level of performance. One of the biggest groups in the city is the Repertory Philippines, which performs English plays. Shows are easily booked from most hotels, are relatively inexpensive and provide a fun night out.
Golf
Manila is home to an array of golf courses offering keen golfers challenging and picturesque links. One of the best courses in the city is Manila Golf Club, which was first established in 1901 and has developed into a fantastic course that is well looked after. There are golfing tours that take visitors to several courses over a few days, providing all necessary equipment, greens fees and lunches.
Enchanted Kingdom
Located in San Lorenzo South, Enchanted Kingdom is a fantastic modern family entertainment park with an abundance of rides and amusements for thrill-seekers. The park is famous for its Space Shuttle roller coaster ride which travels 11-storeys high. The park is open everyday until 18:00 and has restaurants, cafés and souvenirs shops.
Rizal Park
Situated in the city center, Rizal Park is 143 acres of sprawling green landscape and is one of Southeast Asia's largest city parks. There are countless activities to enjoy in the park such as walking, cycling, picnicking, row boating, bird watching and roller-blading. Rizal Park attracts thousands of visitors each day - both local and international.
Nightlife
Manila has a vibrant and exciting nightlife scene that caters to all visitors. There is a reputation for strip bars in the city although this has in recent years been cleaned up somewhat. There are trendy nightclubs for the social elite and a plethora of regular bars and pubs for a relaxing night out.
